The Faries Manufacturing Company of Decatur, Illinois, produced innovative, adjustable electric lamps and fixtures for both industrial and residential use. Robert Faries founded the company in 1894. During the early 20th century, Faries lamps were used extensively in medical and dental offices. Many lamp and lighting collectors consider Faries Company lamps, which are not easily found, the “Holy Grail” of industrial lighting
