This is an original signed oil and encaustic on canvas painting by internationally acclaimed artist LUCIANO SPAZZALI (Italian, 1911-1997), circa 1959.

Luciano Spazzali attended the Academy of art in Bologna from 1932 to 1937, having, among others, instructors like Morandi and Rossi. In 1946 he moved to Piacenza, where he came into contact with Bots, Gustavo Foppiani, and Harmodius. He began to exhibit in 1951 (the Biennale Internazionale d'Arte, in Genoa; National painting prize the Gulf of La Spezia and premio Suzzara). He has been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards including the Marzotto prize in 1953, the Michetti Prize in 1953, 1958 and 1959 and the Four-year Roman in 1965. His work is represented in numerous major public and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
