Description
American Shuffleboard was a New Jersey company which produced quality shuffleboard tables. In it's prime during the 1940's-1960's they became the selling shuffleboard table at the time. Shuffleboards became all the rage after WWII.
In the 30's, Sol Lipkin started his long career in shuffleboard's as a sales person for the national shuffleboard company, then became representative for the American shuffleboard company in New Jersey. Competition between the shuffleboard manufacturers ( National, American, Modern, Rock-Ola, Valley, etc.) was intense and many believed Sol Lipkin established American boards as the industry standard.
American Shuffleboard no longer exists, having ending operations in the late 1990's.
