Circa 1900 Authentic functional piece with solid wood top
The Britannia style of table became popular in Public Houses from the middle of the 19th Century. The Britannia name came from the use of an image of “Britannia” cast into the top of each table leg, making them a patriotic reminder of the Victorian era. This style could be found is several foundries across the Midlands & Yorkshire in pubs and hotel fritters. One of the most prolific suppliers of this style being Lund & Reynolds Ltd.
