Charles F Meilink and his wife Maude resided here in 1916. Mr. Meilink was the owner of Dauntless Bicycle Company before its destruction by fire in 1898. In 1899, Mr. Meilink became the president and general manager of the Meilink Manufacturing Company, makers of safes and steel cabinets. He had numerous patents.
